Handling Precautions
- If your automatic or manual-winding watch has not been worn for a long period of time, turn the crown 20 times to fully wind it. To ensure smooth operation of your manually-wound mechanical watch, wind it once daily, preferably at the same time each day. If you feel that the crown is fully wound, stop immediately without turning it forcibly. Do not change the time and date between 10:00 PM and 10:00 AM, when the date on the watch automatically changes. Any further manipulations may cause damage to the movement. Do not expose your watch to temperatures higher than 60°C (140°F) or temperatures below 10°C (14°F). The actual temperature applied to the watch may be higher than the ambient temperature due to body temperature or the warming function of clothing. If the watch has been subjected to impact, please contact a Montblanc boutique or an authorized Montblanc dealer. Even if there are no visible scratches or nicks, it is possible that the movement is damaged. Do not wear other pieces of jewelry on the wrist on which the watch is worn. The rich party of the surface or the inherent characteristics of the material may be damaged. To keep the alligator, calfskin, satin and rubber straps in perfect condition, they must avoid contact with moisture and seawater, soap and cosmetics. Do not trim the leather strap with leather, shoe polish, or wax, as chemical products may damage the leather, lining, stitching, etc. and lose the original luster of the product. Please be careful as the color of the leather may fade when exposed to high temperature or direct sunlight for a long time. If the wearer sweats a lot, the color of the leather may darken. Careful care is required to preserve the dazzling brilliance of diamonds set on the bezel or crown. Avoid contact with chemicals such as perfumes and detergents, as they may cause discoloration of the jewelry. If your watch has been exposed to chemicals, gently wash it with lukewarm water using a soft toothbrush, rinse with clean water, and then wipe off excess water with a soft cloth or let it dry naturally. Do not use heat-generating products such as hair dryers. Lastly, please check the setting of the jewels periodically to prepare for damage or loss.
